Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
The CHSP commenced 1 July 2015. The aim of this programme is to help frail, older people living in the community to maximise their independence.

With the focus on wellness and enablement, the CHSP provides a strategy for delivering timely, high-quality, low-level home support services.

What NDNS can provide you through CHSP
The service type that NDNS can provide under this program is Nursing. Nursing care is the clinical care provided by a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
This care can include recording client observations, medications and wound management.
Client contribution
CHSP asks clients to contribute towards the cost of their care where they are able to. NDNS charges a client contribution of $10 per session, capped at $40 per week. If you are unable to contribute, please talk to us. No one is refused a service on the basis of an inability to pay.
The following resource is available for care recipients receiving home care, outlining their rights and responsibilities when receiving care at home: Charter of Care Recipients' Rights and Responsibilities (Home Care).
