Social support
Flexible service provision promoting independence and companionship.

Staying connected is part of staying well. Social support and companionship help you keep doing the things you enjoy and stay part of your community, across Newcastle, the Hunter and the Mid North Coast.
What social support looks like
We attend activities with clients such as sporting events, movies and shopping, so you can keep up with the hobbies, outings and interests that matter to you. A familiar companion makes it easier to get out and about, or simply to enjoy a chat and a cup of tea at home.
Why it matters
Isolation affects health as much as loneliness affects mood. Regular social contact supports memory, confidence and wellbeing, and gives families peace of mind that someone is checking in.
Getting started
Social support can be arranged through Support at Home, CHSP, the NDIS, DVA or privately, and pairs naturally with transport and in-home respite. Call our team to talk through what would suit you.
